Limited company/umbrella company

In the majority of cases contractors placed into roles by Evodia work either through their own limited companies or an umbrella company.

It is Evodia's policy that for roles that are deemed to be inside IR35 we will only contract with contractors working through an umbrella company that passes our due diligence assessment process.

Limited Company

To set up a limited company you need to register ('incorporate') online at Companies House. The Companies House website can provide you with the information you need to do this. Alternatively, for a fee, an accountant, solicitor or specialist company formation service can set up a limited company for you.

Umbrella Company

If you do not want to set up your own limited company, you can go through an umbrella company. For a fee the umbrella company will normally issue invoices on your behalf, collect payments from clients/agencies, calculate and make tax, N.I and other legally required deductions and then pay you your net pay.
