This year Armed Forces Day takes place on Saturday 26 June, with physical and virtual events being held across the country. Armed Forces Day is a chance to show support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans, reservists and cadets.
From Monday 21 June, Armed Forces Day flags will be raised on buildings and famous landmarks around the country.
On Wednesday 23 June, Reserves Day will be celebrated, which will provide an opportunity for the country to recognise our Reserve Forces.
Reservists give up their spare time to serve in the Reserve Forces, balancing their civilian life with a military career to ensure that, should their country require them, they would be ready to serve as part of the military.
The Reserve Forces make up approximately one sixth of our Armed Forces personnel and as such are integral to protecting the nation’s security at home and overseas, providing capability in specialist areas such as medical and cyber.
Evodia signed the Armed Forces Covenant in 2018 and maintains its commitment to uphold the key principles of the Covenant that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families, will be treated fairly and not disadvantaged and to promote Evodia as an armed forces friendly business.
