  • As a SAC caterer you are responsible for the competent delivery of food & beverage services to customers inclusive of bar service and shift work patterns.
  • You are to work alongside the industry partner (ESS) to ensure catering retail and leisure and food supply are provided in accordance with JSP456.
  • Once inducted to your work place you will have sufficient knowledge to comply with all relevant statutory legislation and local orders.
  • Responsible to the wo catering or their deputy via the SNCO Mess Manager for the following:
    • Ensure you are dressed correctly (PPE) and maintain the highest standards of hygiene whilst adhering to jsp456 volume 3.
    • Adhere to all safe systems of work including food and health and safety IAW local and external legislation.
    • Ensure your workplace and surroundings are maintained to the highest of standards.
    • Maintain the highest levels of hospitality service across all meal services and bar duties.
    • Be fully current in key performance indicators as laid down in local orders.
    • Maintain a high security awareness and report immediately any suspicious activities or objects to line management.
    • Expected to work shift patterns, official mess functions and bar duties.
  • As a SAC caterer you are expected to maintain the highest of standards across all food delivery outlets.
  • You will be expected to work shift patterns inclusive of evening work with official mess functions.

Qualifications

  • OND/TEC/BTEC – Hotel Catering and Institutional Management.
  • Professional catering diploma. Level 3 NVQ certificate in hospitality and catering principle (food & beverage service).
  • Technical certificate – level 2 certificate in hospitality and catering principles (food & beverage service).
  • Level 2 NVQ diploma in food & beverage service - catering & hospitability – customer services. Level 2 apprenticeship in food & beverage service.
